The online shop Prjónastofa Katla, hereinafter referred to as the Shop, operates the mail-order business of wool products and accessories following the rules set out in these Terms and Conditions.

 
Orders

All goods offered by the Shop come from a legal source and are brand new.

Orders for the products offered by the Shop can be placed via the Internet portal at the following address:

Orders can be placed in the Shop 24/7. all year round.

The Customer places the desired quantity of the selected goods in the Cart, fills in the order form and clicks on the Order confirmation button.

An order is considered accepted for processing as soon as the amount due for the transaction is credited to the Shop’s account.

As a rule, every product offered that can be seen on the Shop’s website at woolkatla.com is available and in stock unless otherwise stated in the product description.

If, after the order has been placed, it transpires that the goods are not available or will be available at a date other than that specified in these Terms and Conditions, the Shop will inform the Customer of this fact without delay and indicate the next possible delivery date.

If the new availability and delivery date are not accepted, the Customer has the right to cancel the order in whole or in part within 3 working days of receiving the above information.

For non-standard orders, the company will contact the Customer to discuss a possible delivery date.

Customized products are produced in the sequence in which orders are received.

Product price

Product prices are in Icelandic currency and are gross prices (including 24% VAT). Shipping costs will be added before payment.

Payments

The company uses the secure payment service Saltpay, which means you can pay for the product you order with a credit or debit card. VISA electron, Mastercard, and Maestro card transactions are accepted.

To ensure efficient processing of your order, please quote your order number and send a transfer confirmation to the email address above.

Payment must be made within 3 days of the order date. Failure to comply with this condition will result in order cancellation.

The Shop will issue a receipt to confirm the transaction and in special cases, at the express request of the Customer, a VAT invoice.

Delivery

Processing of an order will commence when the amount due for the goods, including delivery charges, has been credited to the Shop’s bank account.

Processing of all orders placed after 12:00 p.m. on a given day or on Sundays and public holidays will begin at 9:00 a.m. on the next business day.

The ordered goods will be sent to the address indicated by the Customer on the order form.

Failure to provide an address or providing an incorrect delivery address may delay or even prevent the order from being fulfilled.

In this case, the Shop will contact the Customer to fill in the order form correctly without delay. Failure by the Customer to respond will result in the cancellation of the order.

All orders are shipped nationwide via Íslandspóstur. They are subject to Íslandspóstur’s delivery, warranty, and transport conditions, which can be found on Íslandspóstur’s website. 

The delivery costs shall be borne by the Customer.

When ordering goods for more than 15.000 kr (excluding shipping costs) – delivery within Iceland is free of charge.

If the contents of the package do not match the order, the Shop will cover the cost of returning and re-delivering the correct goods.

The delivery time is usually 2-4 working days. If the product is not in stock, the Shop will contact the Customer to inform them of the next possible delivery date.

The Shop also offers a personal collection of ordered goods in Vík. Please contact the Shop by email or phone before collection to arrange the details.

International orders

Your order will take 2-4 days to process. The goods are shipped via Íslandspóstur. Shipping costs depend on the weight of the order and the destination country. You can check the estimated shipping costs on Íslandspóstur’s website.

Free international shipping on all orders over 55.000 kr. (excluding shipping costs)

International shipments may be subject to customs fees or taxes, depending on the laws of the recipient country. These fees are not included in the shipping costs and are paid by the Customer.

Complaints

All complaints concerning the woolkatla.com shop, including non-conformity of the goods with the contract, physical defects in the goods, delivery, etc., should be sent by email to:

The content of the complaint should include: the name of the product or its symbol, the receipt or invoice number, the Customer’s address details, the reason for the return, and the Customer’s claim regarding a discount, withdrawal from the contract, replacement with a defect-free product or possible removal of the defect.

The shop will consider the Customer’s complaint no later than within 7 calendar days of its submission.

If, in order to examine the Customer’s complaint, it is necessary to deliver the product in question. The Customer will be asked to deliver it to the above address at the Shop’s expense. If the product is exchanged, the shipping costs will be borne by the Customer.

The product must be returned or exchanged within 14 days of purchase. Compliance with this deadline is a guarantee of full reimbursement.

The refund will be processed in the same way as the original payment.

The product must be returned in undamaged condition; otherwise, it will not be accepted. 

International customers may return or exchange defective merchandise within 30 days of purchase, provided shipping and any customs fees have been paid. To avoid additional customs charges, we recommend labelling the goods as “Returned Goods”.

Protection of personal data

The Customer’s acceptance of these Terms and Conditions means that the Shop agrees to process the Customer’s personal data to the extent necessary to fulfil the order. All personal data received by the seller will be treated with absolute confidentiality and will under no circumstances be passed on or sold to third parties.

Final provisions

Prjónastofa Katla reserves the right to make changes to the Terms and Conditions for important reasons. These include, in particular, changes in legislation, and changes in payment and delivery methods, insofar as these changes may affect the implementation of the provisions of these Terms and Conditions. Changes to the Terms and Conditions shall in no way affect the rights acquired by the Customer prior to the entry into force of the changes to the Terms and Conditions and, in particular, shall not affect orders placed or already placed or sales contracts concluded, executed, or fulfilled.

These Terms and Conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with Icelandic law.

Any disputes not provided for in these Terms and Conditions shall be settled by the District Court in Reykjavik.
